Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik passed at the age of 66 in Delhi on Thursday.
he was travelling in a car at the time of the attack and was taken to the hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.
Actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away following a heart attack early Thursday morning, said his close friend and industry colleague Anupam Kher. He was 66.
According to Kher, Kaushik was at a friend’s home in Delhi when he complained of uneasiness.
“He felt uneasy and he told driver to take him to the hospital and on the way he suffered a heart attack around 1 am,” Kher told .
In a tweet earlier, Kher said he was shocked to hear about Kaushik’s sudden death.
Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956, and worked as an actor, comedian, producer and screenwriter. He received acclaim for his role of a cook called Calendar in the 1987 hit film, Mr. India.
His other notable works as an actor include his roles in the films Ram Lakhan, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and Deewana Mastana. As a director, he achieved success with Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Tere Naam.
His close friend, actor Anupam Kher, broke the tragic news on Twitter. Kher’s tweet read, “I know ‘death is the ultimate truth of this world!’ But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”
