India vs Australia 1st ODI: Australia win toss, opt to bat; Ravindra Jadeja in, Chahal out

Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to bat against India in the first ODI of the five-match series in Hyderabad on Saturday. While Ravindra Jadeja found place in the playing XI, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been rested for the match. After sustaining injury during net practice on Friday, MS Dhoni has been declared fit to play and is part of the playing XI.

Teams:

India: Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah.

Australia: Aaron Finch (C), Usman Khawaja, Marcus Stoinis, Peter Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Turner, Alex Carey, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa, Jason Behrendorff.

India rested leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and brought Ravindra Jadeja back into the side for the first ODI against Australia on Saturday in Hyderabad. The left-arm spinner, who was not included in the team during any of the five ODIs against New Zealand last month, was earlier not included in the squad for the series, but was added after Hardik Pandya pulled out due to sore back.
