In a Facebook post, Shah slammed Kohli tagging him as the world’s “worst behaved player”, though didn’t forget to acknowledge his cricketing brilliance.
The iconic actor even took a jibe at Kohli’s “leave India” comment which had stirred massive row.
Shah’s post reads, “Virat K is not only the worlds best batsman but also the worlds worst behaved player. His cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners.. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way”
Kohli often draws criticisms from the cricketing world for his on-field aggression.Recently during the Perth Test against Australia, Kohli, after completing his century, indicated that his bat does the talking. Former cricketer and present commentator Sanjay Manjrekar was certainly not impressed by the gesture as he termed Kohli’s action as “unnecessary”.
Kohli was also engaged in a verbal spat with Australian skipper Tim Paine at Perth.
Earlier in November, in a video, which went viral on internet, Kohli was seen reading out the statement of a person who had drawn ire from the skipper.
According to Kohli, the person had said: “(Virat Kohli is an) Overrated batsman. I have personally seen nothing special in his batting. I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians.”
Though Kohli didn’t take any offence for calling him an “overrated batsman”, he slammed the critic for liking English and Australian batsmen more than the Indians.
In reply, the skipper had said: “Okay. I don’t think that you should live in India. You should go and live somewhere else you know. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries. But I don’t mind you not liking me but I don’t think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right.”
