The ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ actor has now cleared the air about the scene. According to a report, the actor stated that the so-called ‘nude scene’ is merely an illusion. Taking a cue from the movie ‘Deadpool’, this scene will not have the actor going completely nude. Moreover, in the report, Sushant said that he is comfortable showing skin on-screen if the script required it.
The scene would have run into trouble with Censor Board if the film was supposed to release theatrically. However, it seems like it won’t be an issue now at all. A source also told the portal, “Karan Johar could not afford to take the risk of a theatrical release for Drive after the double debacle in 2019 of Kalank and Student Of The Year 2. Karan made every effort to spruce up the film, give it a slick spin, and release it in theatres, but it was too risky. He had decided to shelve it when Netflix came forward to buy and stream Drive as part of their long-term deal with Karan and Dharma Productions.”
While Sushant had also spoke about any inhibitions he had while going nude for the film. He said, “If you ask me whether I am comfortable showing my skin on screen, I will say yes. I don’t have inhibitions, but the role needs to require that kind of a scene. It can’t be just for the heck of it.”
