We all loved those snacks – juice, samosa and ladoo were the prime picks. And everyone tried to grab some extra boxes.
School plays
School functions were the best, where few would enact the life stories of famous freedom writers.
Full attendence was necessary
Attendence was the major thing. Falling to which ‘severe consequences’ awaited.
Colouring the blackboard
Filling the black board with tri colored chalks and writing ‘Happy Independence Day’ was the way, artistic kids showed their talent.
The kid who played ‘Bharat Mata’ was given a star status.
Keeping a close watch on the time, when principal gave the Independence speech.
For the senior students, it was a picnic after school – at a friend’s home or to the outskirts of the city
